HEADQUARTERS:

Bozeman, Mt.

PRODUCTION GOAL:

100 million gallons-per-year

FEEDSTOCK:

Camelina and next-generation feedstocks

ACREAGE:

One million acres by 2010

OPTIMIZATION:

Advanced breeding techniques optimize Camelina seeds for desired growing traits specifically developed for use as a low-cost, high-profit, high oil-yield biodiesel feedstock.

FEEDSTOCK SUSTAINABILITY:

Camelina is a non-food feedstock that farmers can rotate on land currently growing cereal crops, or on marginal land where they can increase the yield per acre without displacing current crops.

Camelina represents a new and promising crop for the biodiesel industry.

Sustainable Oils, Inc., is a producer and marketer of renewable, environmentally clean, and high-value Camelina-based biodiesel fuel. Focused on the continued research and development of dedicated energy crops such as Camelina Sustainable Oils solidly supports both agricultural and green energy initiatives.

Camelina is efficiently and economically grown on marginal lands, harvested with traditional equipment, and requires minimal water and fertilizer. The elite Camelina seed produced by Sustainable Oils requires lower input costs yet delivers higher oil yield than other Camelina seed, resulting in lower costs and higher profit for farmers.
