Green Earth Fuels of Houston, LLC re-commissions the second of its two 45 million gallon per year biodiesel production trains.
Green Earth Fuels of Houston, LLC (Green Earth) is pleased to announce that, in response to increased biodiesel demand, it has re-commissioned the second of its two 45 million gallon per year biodiesel production trains in Galena Park, TX. With this doubling of production capacity, Green Earth is able to produce over 7 million gallons of biodiesel per month to meet the growing consumer demand. Martin D. Beirne, III, President & CEO of Green Earth, commented, “We are extremely pleased to be putting our assets and employees back to work providing the ratable quantity and quality of biodiesel the market expects. 2010 was a difficult year for the whole industry and we saw many companies fold, but through some difficult cost cutting measures and strong partner relationships, Green Earth managed to weather the storm and is now in a position to offer the market ratable quantities of quality biodiesel.” Consistent with its strong production quality tradition, Green Earth is capable of producing product which exceeds ASTM D-6751 standards from a variety of feedstocks including soybean oil and tallow.
Because of its location in the Galena Park, Kinder Morgan Terminal, Green Earth has the capability to reduce customer logistics cost by providing marine-quantity on a delivered or FOB-basis to counterparties with storage along the Houston Ship Channel.
